Frequently Asked Questions

Questions are welcome here. Don't see what you're looking for? Reach out!

Is this tour dog-friendly?

Yes! Dogs are not only allowed—they’re celebrated. As long as your pup feels okay around groups of strangers and dogs in a new setting and is leashed, they’re welcome to join the walk. There’ll be water bowls, shady stops, and yes—great photo ops. Don’t have a dog? You’re just as welcome.

What’s the vibe of the tour?

Honest. Conversational. Occasionally irreverent. This isn’t a performance or a lecture—it’s a walk through real history, told with care and curiosity. We talk about what really happened here. That includes hard truths, laughter, questions, and yes, sometimes swearing.

Can I take photos?

We walk rain or shine—unless the weather is unsafe. If we need to cancel due to extreme conditions, you’ll get a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, please! Tours are by reservation only. You can view available dates and book your spot online.

Where does the tour take place?

We meet at Brewster Gardens in downtown Plymouth, MA, and explore the surrounding area. It’s a 90-minute walk with lots of stops, stories, and space to ask questions. The route includes public sidewalks and mostly flat terrain.

Is it kid-friendly?

Yes—with a caveat. We don’t sugarcoat history, and we will adjust our tours to our audience, but we do talk about colonization, erasure, and uncomfortable truths. Curious, thoughtful kids (and patient grown-ups) are more than welcome.

What this tour is not...

  • It’s not a reenactment.

  • It’s not a “Pilgrim dress-up” situation.

  • It’s not sanitized or scripted.

It’s real, it’s rooted, and it’s designed to make you think.

What if my dog is a sensitive soul/has special needs?

If your pup needs space from other dogs, people, or general sensory chaos I'd recommend a private tour. The last thing we'd want is anyone (or pup) to feel unsafe.

What should I bring?

Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothes, and your curiosity. If you’re bringing a dog, bring water, poop bags, and whatever they need to be comfy for 90 minutes.

What if it rains?

We walk rain or shine—unless the weather is unsafe. If we need to cancel due to extreme conditions, you’ll get a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Can I book a private tour?

HECK yes. I'd love to hang out with you and your pup—or just you. Private tours are available for groups, families, classrooms, events, or anyone looking for a more personal experience. Reach out and we’ll make it happen.
